• Safeguarding

The protection of learners, particularly children and vulnerable adults against abuse.

Abuse is demonstrated in several ways and includes:

    • Bullying

    • Harassment

    • Unwanted physical contact

    • Emotional and Physical Abuse

    • Victimisation

    • Racism

    • Sexism

    • Discrimination

MakeUK has a legal responsibility to protect all learners from all forms of abuse. The centre has a nominated person who will deal with all reported safeguarding issues and investigate cases of suspected abuse.

An overarching policy supports the centres zero tolerance against abuse of any type.

If you have any concerns about a colleague you suspect is a victim of or you are a victim of abuse please contact a safeguarding lead. External safeguarding agency details can be found on your Safeguarding card or through your employers HR department
